Where's my Server can provide most Microsoft licenses via the SPLA licensing program. SPLA allows for the lease of licenses by the month rather than paying upfront.
Bring your own Microsoft licenses to WMS
If you already own perpetual licenses you can use specific licenses on WMS and WMS Private Cloud at no cost, thanks to the Microsoft License Mobility program.
If you want to BYO other licenses not covered by License mobility, Microsoft states that the hardware must be dedicated to your deployment with no mixing with other MS licensed hardware.
License Mobility allows you BYO these Microsoft licenses:
- SQL Server
- Exchange Server
- SharePoint Server
- Lync Server
- System Center servers
- Dynamics CRM
